The amount of debt in America is staggering. The average person has over $8,000 in credit card debt alone. Then there are student loans, car loans, personal loans, mortgages and home equity loans.
Our government is no better at staying out of debt. They have an advantage: they can print more money to try to get out of debt. Even with this ability, though, the American government is trillions of dollars in debt and growing every day.
What will be the result of this very modern problem? Only time will tell. As for myself, I am working on getting myself and my family out of debt as quickly as possible. This blog will give lots of specific information about debt in America as well as detailing my efforts (and others) to reverse that trend in their own lives. Check back often for new posts and updates.
